KNOW WHEN TO INSPECT AND REPLACE YOUR BRAKES

To keep braking performance at its optimum level, an inspection every six months is recommended. Because brake pads and shoes are hidden behind the wheels, it is difficult to see how much product life is remaining. See your authorized Mazda Dealer for a brake inspection and ask about our Lifetime Limited Warranty on Genuine Mazda and Value Products by Mazda Brake Pads and Shoes.

Mazda Brakes In Jacksonville, FL

Pump your Mazda brakes for a second! Do you know when your last brake service was? Do you remember when you even had a brake inspection? No worries if the answer is “no.” The team at Hodges Mazda can get you back on the road fast with the equipment you need so your Mazda vehicle operates at its best. Please scroll down to read our how-to guide so you can diagnose a brake issue before it becomes a major problem.

How To Determine If You Need New Mazda Brake Pads

There are several reasons why you should come in for new Mazda brake pads and rotors. Read your vehicle’s owner’s manual, which should come with a recommended maintenance schedule. The suggested tasks will help you keep better control of your car, lowering the risk of accidents and performance loss.

However, some actions can cause brakes to wear faster than expected. For example, if you use your vehicle for towing, it can shorten brakes’ life span. Come and see us in Jacksonville if you experience any of the following:

Pulsing at the Brake Pedal

This is a complex symptom that can have a few causes. Your rotors could be scored or warped, so when you apply brake pressure at 75 mph, you’ll get some feedback at the pedal in the form of that wavey pulse. Other causes could be hydraulic proportioning valves, sticking calipers, and more. We’ll get to the bottom of this issue fast and supply you with new Mazda brakes if necessary.

Wobbles at the Steering Wheel

Let’s say you’re cruising along in your Mazda3 hatchback. Maybe an issue that was once really small has now gotten bigger. When you press the brakes, your steering wheel shimmies. What’s up with that? You might need Mazda3 brake pads, but you might also need tie rods, ball joints, or a front-end checkup. We’ll use OEM equipment from our Mazda parts store to make sure your vehicle functions as designed.

Light, Sounds, & Smells

There are other ways your vehicle will tell you it’s time for new Mazda brakes. If you see a wear level indicator or an ABS light on the dash, come in and see us for a checkup. If you hear metal scraping and smell something burning when you stop your car, it’s also a good idea to come in for an appointment. Change your Mazda CX-5 brake pads before they can negatively impact your rotors, which can be more expensive to replace.

Change Your Mazda Brakes Today

You can try replacing the brakes yourself with genuine Mazda OEM parts from our dealership. However, considering the importance of this system, you can also trust our team to put our expertise to use for your safety. We’ve got service specials and Mazda parts specials that can save you time, money, and hassle. Call one of our friendly service advisers to schedule an appointment. Be sure to ask them about any available Mazda brakes warranty.

Aside from the quality service you’ve come to expect from our dealership, you also get to relax in our fantastic hospitality center. Wait while we do the hard work. Enjoy snacks and beverages in a clean and comfortable environment. We’ll get you on the road in no time.
